Congrats and welcome to the site @Jake Roland!! That is great that you come from a family of real estate investors! Having family/friends that encourage you in this process is very important! My parents on the other hand do not understand investing whatsoever. Every conversation I have with them regarding finances is very difficult because they do not see the long term benefits like I do. I am a licensed real estate agent in Portland, OR and my parents don't understand the appeal of this career. I love it though!
