Hi BP,

My name is Dominique Colas. I am from McAllen, Texas. However, I am currently living in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I work as a travel nurse in hospitals with nursing shortage. This means I travel quite a bit. I plan on settling down soon which has peaked my interest in real-estate investment. I have always had a side interest in real estate, mostly because I loved watching HGTV and shows such as income property.

Over the past year I have been struggling to find myself a path to financial freedom. I have been encouraged to start a business of my own and even spent some time in an MLM (huge mistake). I have succeeded in some ways such as cutting down on my expenses and becoming more frugal. However, I have not been able to find a stream of passive income. After reading the book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, I had a mindset shift and my interest in Real Estate Investment peaked. I immediately began researching. I discovered BP via YouTube and the podcast. I initially signed up for a free account and a webinar. Right after the webinar, I upgraded to pro. I wanted to learn as much as I could and begin my journey.

My plan is to educate myself for now. As a travel nurse, I move every 3 months and do not know enough about a particular area to be comfortable in purchasing property. I am also very new to this, I am learning new lingo everyday. I am also still unsure about where i want to settle down permanently. I have narrowed down my choices to Houston, or DFW are in Texas, or probably Long Island, New York since my family lives there.

I am also working on saving money for a down payment. I plan on purchase a duplex, triplex, or fourplex as my first investment and learn/grow from there.

I hope to connect and learn from the BP community.

-Dominique
