Hi @Paul Alexander Welcome to BP! This is a fantastic place to network and learn from others. I am focused on value-add multifamily syndications.
Please let me know if I can help in any way!
All the best, RC

Welcome, @Paul Alexander . There's a number of us on BP from the area doing all sorts of things. If you've been doing land development, then you know the investment circles are pretty tight and we're all only 2 or 3 degrees of separation apart.
I'm mostly doing smaller urban infill development at the moment, but there's still some folks buying to hold and, of course, plenty of flipping. Almost everyone on BP seems to be individuals - very few reps of the regional development companies interacting here. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Hi Paul.
Welcome to the community. SD definitely has a great community of RE investors on the forums. I'm a mortgage broker as my day job and also working to create a buy and hold portfolio. Primarily I'm focused on SFR's but plan to investigate more commercial investing going forward. I have a couple local friends who are in the land side of the business so we likely have some contacts in common. Best of luck on your journey.
Luke.

Hi Paul, welcome! With your background in land development, you should check out the San Diego Chapter of the Urban Land Institute. We have monthly breakfast meetings at the University Club downtown - lots of good connections.
