Hello BP. Noob from Charleston, WV. My rags to riches mission...

Hello everyone. First off big thanks to @Joshua Dorkin, @Brandon Turner and the rest of the BP team and community, without the information I've received here I doubt I would've ever pulled the trigger. I'm a rookie investor currently "house hacking" a duplex. What brought me here...

I'm 27. A college dropout. Got laid off from a decent job in the coal industry. Broke and splitting rent with three others to get by I decided I wanted to be the guy getting the rent checks instead of writing them. I found Robert Kiyosaki's notorious "Rich Dad Poor Dad", found BiggerPockets, and a short time later used an FHA loan to close on a duplex with the little money I had saved. I started at the bottom. I've been handed nothing. To those who think it can't be done...watch me.

The goal is to trade up the four green houses for a red hotel. I was a tenant in apartments/houses for 7 years and have experienced some of the best and worst properties and management. I want to own incredible properties with incredible management. I like the idea of using single family and small multifamily rentals to level up to apartments. I'm trying to answer the question "I bought my first property, now what?". Focused on learning, income, and meeting the right people to join me on this ride.

Thanks.
