New member from not actually Scottsdale
Hello to all!
My name is Rafael and I just joined BP. You may be wondering why I put not actually from Scottsdale in the title, let me explain; I am actually from Puebla, Mexico. I lived in Scottsdale from 2009 to 2010 and keep a vacation home there up until 2 years ago that I sold the house. I put from Scottsdale because I never thought I would be getting this much interest in real state, but I think the real state bug has bit me and are ready to go forward and start in this path. I am a business man here in my home town of Puebla, I own a radio station and have done small deals in real state here but nothing big or that serious. I want to expand and do business in the US because I see that there are great opportunities in real state there and I think is a better market that here in Mexico. I want to start focusing my attention in multi-family properties and grow from there. I would love to hear your opinions on my strategy and my being far from the US. I want to start in the Texas market because I can fly directly any day of the week to Houston or Dallas and be there in 2 hours or less. I have has this dream of doing business in the US from some time but was never sure what to do there, now that I have found what I would like to do I hope this dream comes true. I hope to hear from you lot and I will be very active in the forums because I have a million questions and I am sure that a million more will come to my head as I read more about real state. I am reading the BiggerPockets book by Brandon Turner called The book on rental property investing and I am enjoying it a lot, I am also listening to the podcast and like a lot of what I hear. Thanks to all for reading my post and I am sure that I am going to lear a lot from this forums and web page. If I forgot to put something in this post ask m anything and I will gladly answer it.
Happy to be here!

Hi @Rafael Canedo welcome to BP! Scottsdale is a beautiful place. Golfed 18 rounds there once and barely broke a sweat (it was great!). Would love to connect with you whenever you make that flight to Houston!
