Hello BP family!

I thought I'd introduce myself as I'm looking to really start learning from you all. My wife and I are planning on finding a multi-family investment by October. We're looking for 2-4 units. A triplex would be ideal.

Our rent lease is up then in October, and we've started the process for finding a place. I'm a full-time experience / digital product designer at eBay currently here in Portland, Oregon. I've worked for the likes of Nike, Bodybuilding.com, and Intel, but at the end of the day, have always wanted to figure out how to free myself from the corporate 9-5pm. I love design, and look forward to creatively pushing into real estate investing. We own a small online men's grooming company, and I freelance at times out side of work. She's a stay at home mom for our 15 month old Ben.

We're loving life and ready to dig into these forums like crazy. I've been reading (listening) to a ton of finance / real estate books this year, listen to the BP podcast, and have been getting our ducks in a row to find our first house/home.

We are first time home buyer's and want to make the most of our situation to get into something that's cash flow positive. To be frank, I have $160k in student debt, and would love to start chipping away at that even more via real estate and my business ventures.

We're currently looking in the Vancouver/Portland, Oregon area primarily (really Vancouver). We're also looking at Salem / Dallas, Oregon area, Spokane, WA area, and even Eugene and Boise.

If anyone would like to meet, chat, or just give us their experience advice, we're all ears! Great to meet you all.

Greg & Megan Becker

Portland, Oregon
