@Chris Beck Welcome to BP!
Some resources that I have enjoyed:
Episode 108 - Grant Cardone... Just listen…
Episode 283 Paul Thompson - Quite a new episode but I would think everyone would agree this is a top episode. Mainly, the systems implemented are fascinating (VA, automated offers, etc.) Plus...escape velocity...
Episode 113 – Jay Papasan - Very practical slow and steady advice
Episode 221 - Tim Shiner - his concept of equity build up and "shearing the sheep" shows some of the flexibility of real estate vs a 401k
Last but not least, I also recommend all the tax advice given by my fellow CPAs on the BP Podcast.
Tax Reform Update – Brandon Hall and Amanda Han

I have to say all of the BP books…right? :)

Hope this information can give you a good start. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Welcome to BP! I'm just up the road from you in Perkasie and also just getting started. I would recommend looking for the BP podcast "Vaccuum the Truck". It's one of my favorites.
I have listened to that one and it was very motivating. I have been looking into the Lehigh area recently and feel that is where i would like to start. Any recommendations on an agent that knows that area and is willing to work with an investor?
Hey Chris, welcome to the community. I recommend you go to some of the meetups in the area. @Justin Brown hosts a great BP meetup, and there are a few more you can find on meetup.com. If you need any more info on which ones to go to, let me know!
@Chris Beck dude you should definetly join us! Every Third Thursday of the month (16th is our next one) at 6:30 at my co-working building in downtown Allentown (40 S 5th St.) All are welcome to join and we do a lot of multi-family deal analysis so that would be right up your ally!
@Julie Miller I would heartily agree that 276 is a rocking episode! Bryce Stewart actually sometimes joins us for our meet-ups so you might meet the man, the myth, the legendary truck vacuumer, if you join us!
@Account Closed good list, I would have to add Richest Man in Babylon, and Think and Grow Rich to the list of books to read! And of course anything by Grant Cardone!
Thanks for the invite @Justin Brown ! I will have to put that in my calendar. My wife is looking to get her real estate license over the winter so this would be great for both of us.
Hello! @Chris Beck
Welcome to BP, and congratulations on making the decision to invest in your future via real estate.
I have written a few blog posts that may help you get started here on BP, and with your investing. Please click on the links, give them a read, and share your thoughts in the comments.
First is a post that I feel will help not get overwhelmed with the amount of info that is here on BP:
The second is a post that will help get you focused with your real estate investing goals:
The last one is a post that will help you choose an “investor friendly” real estate agent.
There are many agents out there, but it’s important to choose the right one.
I love answering questions if you have any! Good Luck :)
