Hey everyone, 26 y/o from British Columbia, Canada in the okanagan area. Never thought much about my finances until recently and just came across bigger pockets around a month ago after discovering the idea of financial independence in general (probably began with youtube recommendations) and by listening to a few other podcasts while at work as an aluminum boat builder/welder to pass the time. (started with Mad Fientist and then while thinking about types of investing I started to gravitate towards real estate investing and buy&hold in particular, which led me to AffordAnything and now to here.) Still very new, but I am learning everyday and looking forward to having enough saved to begin looking for a property. The goal is to create enough of a passive stream of income that I can quit the 9-5 and focus on things I actually enjoy. Looking to learn lots in the coming months and potentially network with other people in Canada
