Hey everyone. My name is Nick. I'm an active duty Marine, and I'm finally starting to get serious about real estate investing. A long time, trusted friend and I filed our LLC paperwork last week to get started. He lives in my home city and has been in private sector financial services for about 12 years. He is the CFO and bookkeeper. I have some banking and small start-up business experience. I tend to be the more aggressive one in terms of going after things and pushing forward. He and I have been friends for nearly 20 years. Over the past few months we've been talking more and more about our market plays (options, mostly) and we got to talking about real estate. It has long been a side dream of mine to generate enough passive income to eventually stop working for a paycheck on the 1st and 15th. The more we talked, the more we realized our envisioned RE investment strategies were the same. We decided to pull the trigger. Docs are submitted, business plan is created, domain and logo are done... All baby steps, but very exciting. We aim to be very selective with our properties. Main strategy while we continue our RE education is buy and hold SFH/MFHs. If a flip opportunity here or there pops up, we will see. In the meantime, I wanted to jump in here and get talking with you guys. Very excited, and I thank you all for the contributions to this forum! -Nick

@ Nick Holmes:  Nick I wish you the absolute best.  If it is anything I can do to help out with answering any questions just reach out to me.  There are way more experienced people on Bigger Pockets than me, so search and read and you will be fine.
