Hi All,

My wife and I just purchased some property with a manufactured home which we are planning on making a vacation rental.  The home is in the Lake Chelan area in Washington with a great view.  This area has great potential for weekly rentals in the summer season, but doesn't see a lot of action in any of the other seasons.  We've been wanting a vacation spot in this area for years and are hoping to use it for ourselves as well as rent it weekly in the summer, using a property manager in the area.  Very modest homes similar to this one and in this area rent for around $1500-$2000/week in the high season.

We've started renovations by tearing out the kitchen and floors, opening up the kitchen and living room to make one large great room.  I'll have lots of questions as we move throught the renovations to hopefully have this place ready for next summer.  Being a couple hundred miles away makes it challenging to move quickly, but we're not in any particular hurry either.

Looking forward to lots of good discussions on Bigger Pockets...thanks in advance!

George
