I've got the deals but cant find the investors

Hey my names Chan, I'm from Chicago. i worked in a restaurant for the last few years and about a year ago i reconnected with an old classmate from school. He works for a real estate company and got me very interested in buying, selling, and eventually, holding real estate. I decided to start with flipping and about 2 months ago i got myself a mentor ( a real one, not an internet guru) and started diving into it. 2 months later I'm still sitting trying to piece together my first deal. I've had the deals, contractors, and brokers lined up, my problem is the funding. I've gone to a few people I know and its always the same answer "the deal makes sense but you have no experience". What would you experienced REI's suggest I do?

@Chanoch Moller, Finding financing independent of banks or different lenders is very difficult to accomplish. Ultimately, it boils down to who you know. So, you have to start networking with different folks in real estate. This means attending events such as REIA, participating on BiggerPockets, and talking to folks about real estate. Over time, you may develop a reputation that others can trust. The problem comes with your level of experience. Many people can find "good deals." Essentially, a quick Google search and plugging a property into the BiggerPockets calculators doesn't make for a good partnership or joint venture, and people are going to be reluctant to dump their money into someone they don't know that does not have a resume. What distinguishes you beyond that is your expertise. In short, I'd prefer to see some marketable skills on top of just finding a deal, such as construction skills, financial skills, or legal skills.
