New Investor from NYC + Long Island

Hey there!

I'm looking to get into real estate part time (lending, flipping) - I have previous experience on the assessment/tax side of the industry and will be getting a real estate license to supplement my education and get MLS access.

My current goal is to run through a single flip and break even. I'm leaning towards starting with single family houses needing light to moderate cosmetic work in Nassau County.

Please reach out if you're familiar with the area and want to connect.

Regards!

@Max Rosner

Welcome to biggerpockets!

I grew up in Brooklyn and monitor the NY subforum. I don't see too many posts about people flipping in Nassau County.
It may be a good thing though as you may not have much competition. You may need some capital to flip in the area considering the high purchase price and likely renovations cost higher in NY than other areas in the country.

It would be interesting to see why you picked this area.

Good luck in your investing career!
