Hi all - My name is Ed Maione and I live in Franklin, MA, a town about 40 minutes west of Boston. 24 years old, University of Rhode Island graduate (Entrepreneurial Management), recently married, first time home owner in 2017. I grew up in a construction and remodeling family and spent my teenage and young adult working career in the family business. My dad and I as of December 2018 have remodeled 90% of our house, including a full bathroom and full kitchen (with the brilliant designing of my wife Stephanie!!) Like most people have always seen the connection between wealth and real estate, and thanks to the work of @Joshua Dorkin and @Brandon Turner , only a few Google searches into my research I found myself on BP and didn't need to look any further. I've been corrupted by their guidance and have gotten more pleasure from the equity we've built into property than the fact that we've built a beautiful home! I'm at the point where experience is the only way to push my education to the next level. Looking forward to the opportunities and experiences that real estate and networking will afford my family and I. We have lofty goals for 2019 and hope to meet and grow with as many members of the BP community as possible - onward and upward!!

@Ed Maione it sounds like you're off to a great start - your construction and remodeling family is a great background to have for this business.
As you've seen, Bigger Pockets is a great resource. You mentioned Josh and Brandon so you've probably already found the BP podcast but if not, it's both entertaining and informative!
You've certainly come to the right place, and let us know when you have specific questions along the way of course :)

Thank you for the warm welcome @Anthony Thompson - I've made it through about 75 of the podcasts and 3 or 4 of their books. Time to take the next step!

@Ed Maione a bit late to the thread but Welcome my friend! How's your journey going? Have you made any progress in 2019 thus far? I'm in Franklin as well. If you ever want to get together and discuss real estate, let me know. I'm just getting started myself.

Hi @Scott Savard ! Thanks for reaching out. Our first "investment" the live-in flip has been completed which unlocked quite a bit of equity for us. Been on the hunt for a local flip opportunity but haven't gotten all of the pieces to come together yet. Would certainly be interested in getting together - shoot me a message and we can coordinate.
