Investing in Cheyenne, Wyoming

Joey Zee
Posted

Hi, I'm new to the community! Nice to meet yall

I'm trying to find a good real estate agent / local RE investor who can guide me through my search for a property in Cheyenne, WY (preferably to both live in and rent out, duplex maybe).

I would also appreciate any tips when it comes to rental property investing in Cheyenne. It seems like the rent/buy ratio isn't very high (normal rent per room can go as low as 400$) while median housing price seem to be in the 150-250k range. Is anyone doing Airbnb and having success?

Thanks,
Joey

Welcome to BP @Joey Zee.  I am a neighbor to the north.  I have only been mildly looking in Cheyenne due to the distance, but have been watching the Casper market a bit.  Cheyenne in my opinion has the most diverse economy and so is probably the safest.  Good luck on your investing.
