Newbie in NY - Relocating to NC

Hello BP! What an amazing community. 

I've recently joined and have already learned more here than anywhere else on the web.

I currently live in New York City with short term plans to move down to North Caroline [Raleigh] with a purchase of a duplex or triplex. The plan is to live in it for a short period of time and build equity then use that to purchase more property. 

As I've stated, I've just recently started to learn and wish to connect with like minded people. 

If you have any suggestions or questions, I will gladly respond to them all!!

I've been using websites such as Zillow and realtor to look for deals, and from day to day I'll see properties come on the market and be in contract pretty quickly. And I'm sure there are many more deals made off the market as well!
