Investing in Bakersfield, CA

Hi, I am new to REI. I am wondering what other think about buying a rental property (single family house) in Bakersfield,CA. Is it a good time to buy? Thank you

@Mong Chai glad to see you reached out here! Its a great community for investors!

On your question, it really depends on your goals.  If you are looking for steady cash flow there are good options on the Single Family and/or Multi Family side, however, the area would depend on your goals.  

The area is steadily increasing with the new signing of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and many new distribution centers coming to the area.  I would say that this is the last cash flow community in CA with the potential growth rate looking to be pretty high.  The current projections are that we will be larger than Fresno within the next decade or two.  That is including Fresno's growth rate as well.
