Commercial Property Manager, Real Estate Agent & Newbie Investor

Hi BP Community!

I’m Kristina Moore from the greater Los Angeles area. I’m a commercial property manager by profession, having worked in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties. I currently manage a premier high-rise office building in DTLA and work with a family-owned real estate investment and operating firm. The innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of my employer has encouraged me to pursue my own investments.

My husband and I have been lurkers on the BP forum and podcasts and have decided to join the forum to start networking and engaging with the community. We're currently in the process of obtaining a broker license and establishing an LLC by EOY. Our goal is to sink our teeth into our first deal by Q2 2020.

Aside from aspiring real estate investors, we’re the parents of two daughters (8 and 3 years old), who keep us reallyyyy busy. My husband is a car enthusiast (particularly BMWs) and is very active in euro car communities. And I’m turning into quite the yogi and have started to participate in obstacle races in my free time. I signed up for my 2nd Spartan Race and am trying to convince my husband to join me...

@Kristina Moore , Hi Christina, welcome to BP. I'm also in CRE, previously a broker with Cassidy Turley in San Diego (now known as Cushman & Wakefield). I run my own real estate practice focusing on cell tower and cell site lease consulting for property owners (primarily CRE clients).

In regards to the LLC, you may want to take your time registering a LLC with the State of CA. As soon as you do, you will then have to pay the annual re-occurring tax on your LLC of $800.00. So really, only register one when you absolutely need to, just my two cents.
