I am a new member and this is my intro.
Hello everyone, my name is Daniel. I reside in Greensboro, NC. I am in the military, but would like to get into real estate to achieve financial freedom. As most people are aware military personels tend to move a lot and sometimes it can be a 24 hr job. I am trying to find a vehicle that I can work on part time. As of right now I'm thinking rental units or mobile homes is something that I can do part time. Please correct me if I'm wrong...
I am waiting to get to my next assignment to get started on any purchases, but until then I am using the blogs and the financial independence blueprint to get educated. I'm a bit scared of starting out but I'm sure that once I do my first deal I'll be able to move on. If anyone has any suggestions or advice, please don't be afraid to reach out.
Thank you.

Hello Daniel,
First off, thank you for your service and selfless efforts in protecting the freedom we are so blessed to have in this country!
I totally understand why waiting for your next assignment before purchasing is your strategy here. I recommend getting in contact with a VA lender regarding your qualifications. This should be your first step so that you have a clear idea as to what your buying power is.
Once you get reassigned, I would recommend considering using a VA loan to purchase a multi-family property. A realtor and attorney in your target market can walk you through the ins and outs.
This Friday I'm closing my first VA "house-hack" multi-family deal with a client. He is using his VA loan to purchase a 3-unit property where he will occupy one of the units. He is going from paying $1900/month rent for 1-bedroom apt. - paying $650/month of mortgage after his tenants pay the majority of it. When he moves onto his next property, he'll collect $2000/month rent for that unit and cash flow about $1000/month after expenses.
I hope this example helps!
Best luck to you on your journey!
Abel
