How's it goin? I'm Jeff and I live about 2 hours north of New York City and an hour south of Albany if you don't know exactly where Kingston is. I don't have much background in real estate but looking to get into it before my college career is over. I currently work at Lowe's as a manager and have made some contractor and real estate contacts but am still looking for a mentor or guru. I'm leaning towards multifamily apartment rentals to hold long term but have yet to rule anything out. I will also have a business partner to secure the amount of capitol I would like to have to invest comfortably. Any other questions about me feel free to ask

Welcome to BP Jeff. I think you will find a ton of information and advice here that will help you take your goals and come up with a plan of action to reach them. When you say you are looking for a mentor or guru, do you mean you are looking to pay for a program of some sort, or you are looking for someone in the business to help you learn the ropes? If you are talking about a paid program, please be very careful. Many people pay thousands of dollars for programs and courses and never end up closing a deal. Again, welcome to BP and stay active...you learn a lot more that way.
