Central Florida Newbie

Hi,

I'm a newbie real estate investor.  Eventually, I'd like to have enough buy and hold rentals to leave the rat race and travel the world with my family, painting on location along the way. I am an landscape painter and I paint in oils, although currently my W2 job is a mail carrier.

I was a caricature artist at Disney for several years but the income wasn't exactly reliable as it was pure commission.  I actually read Rich Dad Poor Dad while living in Taiwan maybe 15 years ago and got really excited but had a small family and was planning to move back to the states so put it on hold, and got too busy with the day to day grind.

Recently, because I do not enjoy my job (delivering mail in Florida heat with no AC in a mail truck hotter than an oven) I started looking into real estate again.  I got my wife interested by playing some BP podcasts on the way to the beach.  So we're either going to buy a small rental property or possibly move to another primary residence and rent out our current house to start.  I'd like to house-hack a duplex, triplex, or fourplex, but my other half doesn't like the idea due to lack of privacy.

So, if anyone has a property in central Florida they might want to sell, let me know.

Hi Jason, is there a certain area in central Florida that you are looking at? Do you prefer coastal or Orlando area?
