Hi all!

My name is Madison Heck, I'm a 25 year old product manager at a tech company in New York City that is looking to shift into real estate investing on the side initially, but transitioning to full time once I can hopefully replicate my income.

I am getting closer to closing on a property in Ithaca, NY (where I went to school) with a business partner of mine in the next month or two.

Markets that I am currently interested in are upstate NY and Austin, TX (where I may move in a year or two), but looking for long-distance investing opportunities anywhere that there is a solid market.

The BRRRR method really intrigues me and fits my goal of generating passive income from real estate, but I will most likely experiment with short-term rentals as well. I just finished the book "How to Invest in Real Estate" and am starting the book on "Rental Property Investing" soon, both written by BiggerPockets affiliates.

Would love to connect with anyone who has advice, wants to connect, or chat about anything! Excited to be a part of the community.

@Madison Heck Those books are a fantastic resource to get started.  The Austin MSA has been a powerful vehicle for investing for many people and has strong projected growth ahead.  Happy to connect and share insight if you want to chat.
