Hello everyone. I am a new member looking for some guidance on how to get started investing in rental properties. I have been looking for properties in my area but not much on the market and prices have gone up tremendously. Working on educating myself on REI and would love to connect with others for some guidance or recommendations on how to get started.

@Kaye-ann Brown-Barrett a great place to start would be to practice analyzing deals in your area. Try to find out how much they will cash-flow for. Get comfortable with how 'good' a deal is. You'll build up that criteria for yourself and you'll get more comfortable with understanding which properties would be worth investigating a bit further. Next, I would start to read up on all of the different types of financing options there are out there, so that you can determine how you'll acquire those deals that 'work' for you. Hope this helps!
