Retired at 32 - excited to start investing!

Hello all!

My name is Derek Kruse and I am from the Minneapolis-St. Paul/Western Wisconsin Area. At the end of this month I will be retiring from law enforcement after 9 years due to an injury in the line of duty. So I will be blessed with a pension that covers my living expenses, so looking at tackling the world of real estate investing. I am a licensed WI realtor and have owned a large, successful AirBnB in the past, so that is the niche I would like to get involved in.

I have loved everything I've learned on BiggerPockets so far, and I can't wait to learn more!

Also: Is the Pro account worth it for a newbie such as myself?

Take Care - Derek :)

@Derek Kruse

Sorry the career got cut short. Thank you for your service to your community. Don't think you need pro, but I used it's features more starting out than I do now. If you are going to get it, go to a webinar. They used to give out discounts following them.

I upgraded to Pro a couple years ago and don't regret it. I am able to use the tools and calculators to analyze deals. I also like the additional items that Bigger Pockets provides. Good Luck!

@Derek Kruse - I purchase an account on the forum as a way to give back to BP for the incredible resource it's been for my investing career.  I wouldn't be at the level I'm at without the podcasts and this forum.

So for me, yes it is
