Hi All! My name is Jennifer and I'm new to the BP community and fairly new to the REI community as well. Only been investing since April 2013. I'm very excited about this new adventure in my life and all I'm learning. Looking forward to meeting and networking with everyone. My current interest in REI is fast cash deals i.e. fix and flip or even a bird dog deal for another investor. Looking to move up to buy and hold as soon as I can :) I'm in the Houston area so hi y'all!

Hi Jennifer Gibbs, welcome to BiggerPockets!

I hear great things about the market right now in Texas as well, you're in a good spot to make things happen!

Just know that flipping and bird-dogging require a lot of hard work. You can definitely realize success in these areas, I just don't want you to start off with the impression that it's fast & easy, because it isn't! It takes time to learn the business, and it's definitely difficult at first. After you put in the hard work, it can be very rewarding though!

We're here to help, if you have any questions, ask away! Keep us posted on your progress!
