I had opened up my bigger pockets account like 5 or 6 years ago but never used it. I'I've read many books. The one that changed my life was Rich Dad Poor Dad. After that one i read every single Kiyosaki book and and the rest of the rich dad advisors. Now I'm obsessed with listening to all the Bigger pockets podcast. I've started from.#1, I'm currently at #61. I won't stop until i catch up to the latest one. #500???

I'm introducing myself now as it is better late than never. When i first created the account i didn't own any properties. Now my wife and I own 4, and we are out of the rat race. My goal is to keep acquiring cash flowing properties as buy and hold and provide my 2 daughters an extraordinary life. Also provide my tenants with an excellent clean, Safe and nice place to live.

I come from the TV industry, I won an Emmy and many music video and short films festivals. But that's my past life. My only focus now is Real Estate. I learned construction. I learned plumbing, electricity, structural and getting better with A/C, i do all the work myself. I hired contractors before and i was cheated, robbed and lied. Not anymore. Now i know how it works and they can't fool me. But i will hire again. I don't plan to be a one man army forever. I just knew i needed the experience so no one could take advantage of me. We manage the properties ourselves. I work hard at making them tenant proof. A few years ago we only did vacation rentals through airbnb, that was a lot of work but gave me a PHD in property management. Now i appreciate the regular rental 12 month leases a whole lot more. The covid 19 pandemic destroyed the airbnb short term rental business and we are happy to make the switch. It did good for us, it was profitable and learned a ton.

I'm also a license realtor, but i used my license mainly to have access to MLS. Occasionally i help a family member or close friend buy their house. But i know that's not my focus.

I love bigger pockets, the podcast have opened up my horizon. I want to learn how to find off market deals. We have found our deals through the MLS and driving for dollars. But prices are insanely high right now, they don't meet any of the rules, 1% rules, 50% rules. And 70% rule. I also want to master foreclosures. Buying at the auction. That has always intrigued me. Soon i will be able to take the time and read many books about it, including "Bidding to Buy" recommended here in bigger pockets. I suspect a tsunami of foreclosures coming after forbearance and evictions moratorium end. Who knows. But maybe the government prints until infinity and beyond. Look forward to meeting new fellow investors and hope to learn and grow together.
