Hello BP community! I am a new member for about a week but have been studying for my real estate exam I am taking this week. My plan is to work for earned income which I will then turn in to passive income through buying and holding multi-family properties.

Looking to get my first house end of this year/early next year, an owner-occ triplex or fourplex. Read about 50 books on real estate the last year and a half but couldn't do a ton because of my hockey career and not knowing anyone who has knowledge in RE investing around me. But, now its time to jump and take a different path.

Really looking forward to meeting all of you and meeting so many like-minded individuals!

Brandon

Hi Brandon Gentile, welcome to BP! This is an encyclopedic site so invest some time here, it's well worth it. You'll learn more here than you will in your 40-hour real estate salesperson course, that's for sure.

There's a decent SE Michigan contingent here, feel free to reach out, we're all pretty cooperative. I've met a number of them at the local monthly REIA meetings, that's another good thing to do to get your RE investing career up and going.

I've probably seen you play at one of the GLI tournaments or the Hockey at the Joe games. Sorry, I was cheering for the Maize and Blue team. Too bad the CCHA is no more, that was a fun conference. My son is playing Pee Wee house at Lakeland right now. You probably spent some time playing in that smelly place, eh? :-)

Best of luck in your new career, let me know if I can help.
