New to BP: Hoping for networking opportunities in RI/New England

Hi all. I started reading and learning about real estate investing over the last few months and was introduced to Bigger Pockets recently. My girlfriend and I currently rent in Providence, Rhode Island; we have a great rental setup (landlords, location, amenities, etc.) so want to learn and network as much as we can to make sure we're headed in the right direction if we make the jump into purchasing real estate. The concepts that interest us the most at the moment are house hacking and small multi-family rentals.

My goal with this post is to start some conversations to make connections and learn from some of you here on Bigger Pockets, particularly those who have knowledge about the market in Rhode Island in particular.

I look forward to connecting with you!

Kyle

@Kyle Warren great to meet you! I’ve been actively investing here in RI since 2003 😊

If you don’t mind living next to your tenants, house hacking with a small 2-4 family property is a great way to get started learning the business with the best financing terms you can get (low down payment and low fixed interest rate).
