Tenant using Leased house address for LLC registered address
We recently discovered our tenant in a single dwelling home is using the physical address as the address for their PLLC company (Centurion Group) without our permission. I am looking through our lease agreement and can't find anything that states they can't run a business out of this property they are leasing. Our property manager provides this lease agreement which we are going to change when the lease is up for renewal. Are there legal and/or financial ramifications (liability on the property and/or taxes) due to the fact they are using their rented property for the registered address of their PLLC? They do have a separate physical address for the company that the tenant as an agent uses for the company. I have been researching this question on the internet and have found conflicting information. One site said it was not an issue if all they were doing was sitting at a computer for their business and another site said there could be legal ramification if their company was sued. Does anyone have the statutes for this situation? If I wanted to create a LLC with the rental property, would I use that rental property address as the registered address or my physical address at the location of my residence? Thank you for your thoughts and information.
