Question about mortgage strategy in Florida

Hello, we recently relocated from San Francisco to Florida. We are looking to buy a house and wondering what is better to either go 1) direct to the bank and apply for the mortgage 2) work with a mortgage broker. If you go for # 2 what is an acceptable fee? Also, do any of you know any good mortgage brokers in Florida? Thank you! Pablo

@Pablo Medina there is a lot of misinformation on this thread in regards to brokers.  I would get estimates from both lenders and brokers to see what loan products meet you needs.
