New Real Estate Agent

Julia Scuderi
Posted

Hello, I’m just got my Real Estate License one month ago and immediately got listing. And received multiple offers. I feel my managing broker was not helpful. I did not have any experience or training. My client signed Purchase and Sales Agreement without me being able to explain every line. I’m supper disappointed that I have reached out to my broker asking clarification, help and just got short txt or 2 min phone call while the broker was driving and I barely could hear. What should I do? I feel that my client was not properly represented.

Hey Julia!

First, congrats on getting a listing so fast! That's amazing!!! And I totally relate to your experience. My first broker was completely unsupportive and offered ZERO training! Agree with @Mya Toohey that a lot (lot lot lot) of brokerages recruit new agents like crazy and then ... leave you out there to dry. It's crazy!

So definitely know that your experience, while sadly not all that unusual ... can be very easily remedied! There's lot of agents in here, myself included who love our brokerages. It's always about finding the right fit for YOU! Make sure it makes sense support wise, mission and values...etc. There's a lot of questions you will want to ask when you interview brokerages. Be picky and find a place you can call home.

You've got a great start from the sounds of it! Now build on that and grow grow grow!
