Any tips for everaging LinkedIn for Property Management sales & investments??

I have had a LinkedIn account for many years, yet I haven't spent a lot of time on it because I don't quite understand the best way to leverage it.  From time to time I will hear of people who utilize it well and gain business from it. 

Anyone on here have some tips on how to best use LinkedIn? 

I am a BDM, aspiring investor, and my wife is a realtor - so I help her out some as well.
