Where else do you invest outside of RE?

Considering its hard to find cashflow deals these days with the overheated market, I have started to wonder where to invest the saved cash. It might be a while before things correct and get reasonable. 

Any suggestions from your experience? How do you diversify? Where do you or people you know put the extra cash? Any and all options are welcome. Crazy ones are fine too.
