Marketing Methods?

Out of curiosity, I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on the best marketing experiences to promote products and/or services.

Here are some things I've done

- Bandit Signs
- Post Cards/Direct Mail
- Personal/Business Website
- Classified Ads
- Newspaper (local)
- Online Networking (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc)

I'm leaning more towards expensive newspaper ads and am thinking about posting to the New York Times. Outside of the newspaper I found that a business website is worth the expense if the design is not too outdated.
