I'm googling but not having much luck. I read that the federal moratorium on evictions was set to expire on July 25th. Did it actually expire and did the one that Edwards had in Louisiana expire?
As it stands right now evictions are beginning August 25th for federally backed mortgages, this week for all others.
Always best to check with your local justice of the peace or city court where the eviction would take place for the subject property. They are a great resource for this question!
I only have rentals in Orleans Parish, but eviction courts opened here sometime in mid-June for tenants/properties that don't fall under that federal eviction moratorium. But every city/parish in Louisiana can be different and you should contact the appropriate city hall.
I think Gov. Edwards had a state eviction moratorium until June 5th. But I'm 95% sure he didn't extend it past that.
