Are there SMFH Landlords in St. Paul renting to prior felons?
Does anyone here own rentals in Minnesota (st. paul) and rent to prior felons? My neighbor, who rents from the duplex next door to mine, has a 10-year old felony but since has no criminal record. For those of you who have considered or actively rent to prior felons, what was your screening process like, and were there any conditional terms you put in place? Lastly, are there any landlords here willing to discuss tenancy for someone (mom, dad, daughter) like this who has some availability now or in the near future?

@Jeff Schemmel I have rented to a previous Felon at least one time. I would personally avoid violent crimes, our tenant had made a bad choice but it wasn't a violent one. It worked well. He was with us for one year then purchased a home. We never had a problem with him. We documented the Felony and his story matched up with the crime perfectly so we took that chance.
