Looking for: Accountant and Lawyer in St. Louis Metro area

Hello all!

My father and I are putting together our business plan and are preparing to launch our real estate investing business but certainly want to have all of our details lined out before going too far.

Do any of our local St. Louis investors have a recommendation for a quality accountant/CPA and a real estate saavy lawyer? We'll be looking at setting up an LLC, getting contracts approved by a lawyer, etc.

Any assistance or insight is appreciated! Thanks!

@Michael Henson I am looking for a new accountant and lawyer as well. Did you have any luck or have anyone you would recommend?

Jeffery Neal what are you trying to accomplish with an accountant? Maybe I can be a service.

@Simon W. I have so many questions! lol

  1. I need help setting up my chart of accounts for my rentals and for my flips
  2. Need tax planning advice. I am about one month out on finishing my first flip and I want to make sure that I am not paying too much in taxes.
  3. I would most like like to set up a self employed retirement plan and need to understand what the limitations on what I can do with the money after its in the plan.
  4. Basic entity questions.

@Jeffery Neal were you able to find an attorney & accountant that understands the MO market? I'm in a similar position with my KC properties.

I've got a real estate attorney that I'm very happy with.  They are not the cheapest but they are good.
