Just starting and need some advice

Hey everyone,

I am very new to this and wanted to get some feedback. I am really interested in purchasing some rental property but I have no idea where to begin. I'm currently saving for a down payment but feel that I may have issues securing a loan due to high student loans. I'm currently looking at property in the Essex County area and need some idea of how to actually get the ball rolling on my plans. Thank you for the help in advance.
