Hi guys I had a relative approach me about issues with laying mortgage and asked for help. I've been going back and forth with the strategy that would be best in possibly taking over the mortgage. Does anyone have any experience with this especially because of our relation. Thank you!

I would  stay out of the situation and simply advise them to sell. There will be no benefit in you getting involved and it will likely result in strained relations.

If there is no financial advantage for you that would be worth damaging the relationship over then there is no point in being involved.

Never mix money and family in business decisions.
