I found four SFHs all next to each other on the same street with the same owner. I was wondering if I could bundle these four properties as a four-plex to use a 3.5% down FHA loan to "house hack." Has anyone tried this or something similar?

I'd imagine you'd have zoning and legal description issues to overcome.....

I do not believe so unless they are all situated on one piece of property, but this would be a good question for your lender.

@Matt K. I will definitely have to speak to a lawyer and a lender to see if I can overcome those obstacles.

You could just look up the zoning first.

@Aaron K. Thank you for the feedback, I am going to ask about how the land is divided and the zoning.

@Matt K. I did not know zoning was a public record, thank you for the tip.
