Real estate cold calling

Hey guys

I recently was looking for the best real estate agent schedules and trying to implement that schedule as well, I have my license 7 months now , . Can anyone share a good schedule ?

Second thing I saw in many people schedule was cold calling , now I don’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings , cause maybe I’m doing it wrong , but I always though cold calling was a waste of time , especially because most people do it at 8 or 9am. In the U.S , don’t most workers start work “8 or 9am ? “ so why would that be a good time to lead generate ? Door Knocking to me is a way better way since you get to interact and avoid people hanging up or rushing you off the phone so quick before you even share 1 word. Maybe I’m viewing or doing this whole cold calling thing wrong, can someone advice me on both concerns ?

I think the key is to understand your market, before you start to market. This is at the heart of @Tchaka Owen's comment about it working in some places better than others. He mentioned urban vs. rural, but also think about age, for example. Older retirees are often happy to have someone to talk to, while busy professionals get angry at the interruption. So rather than starting with HOW to market, I strongly suggest you start with WHO you want as customers. Once you figure that out, you can ask WHERE you can best reach them. Is that group on Facebook, are they part of the email generation, messaging, phone, direct mail, door knocking, etc. Always start with the who, and you'll be far more successful on the where and how.
