First Time Home Buyers Requesting Advice

My wife and I are currently seeking to buy a home in the Stamford area, should we bring a  general contractor when looking at potential homes?

Couple of things, 1. Are looking to buy a fixer upper? 2. What type of funding are you doing? 3. Are you looking at single family or house hacking with a multi unit? General contractors will not continously go look at houses with you unless you're paying them for their time. It's better to find a house you like, get it under contract and have them come through during inspections.
