Help! How do I change a contractor on existing permit?

Hello Chicago area investors/architects/GCs!  I need to change the plumber on my rehab permit for a 3 flat.  I'm ready for an inspection but am using another plumber.  My architect said I have to go downtown and submit paperwork, but others are telling me it can be done online.  I've searched for instructions, asked various people, and no one has a concrete answer- hopefully someone here can help?

@Amir,

You can get an Easy Permit through Chicago to change the contractor. Chicago charges a $75 fee for the change.

That being said, for the Easy permit you used to be able to go to City Hall with the necessary paperwork and get it done same day. Now that COVID has hit, the Easy permit desk remains closed and they have now replaced this with an online process which can take 2-5 business days.

Below is the link on how to do this online; I will send this via PM as well:

Interim Easy Permit Process

Note: You will need to fill out an easy permit application and have it signed by the owner and GC for the project; and you will also need to receive a Letter of Intent from the plumber for the job, listing the scope of work and address, signed and sealed with the plumber's stamp or notarized.
