Humidity in pier and beam deck

Nadia Obregon
Posted
Hi,
My husband and I recently closed on a property we're planning to flip. The house has some humidity issues under the pier and beam deck due to the lack of a crawl space, so we'll need to replace the entire deck (it's only on half of the property, fortunately). Our inspector recommended adding a trench to help with the water filtration to help remediate the problem.
Has anyone here dealt with a similar situation? My husband is a General Contractor in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and will be handling the work himself.
Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
