Rehabs Revealed: Merriville, IN Part 2 of 4 (Kitchen)

As you can tell from these before pictures, the kitchen needed a lot of help! We demo’ed a small portion of the wall between the dining room and kitchen in order to create more of
an “open feeling” when coming from the living room. One extra “wow factor” was adding
a bar area between the kitchen and dining room. The custom granite also really made this
kitchen “pop!” The color scheme we used here is one of our designer’s, Rebecca Mager-Cordle of, most popular choices, and we included all the SKU numbers for these materials in this blog!

Here are some of the SKU’s we used in the kitchen:

Cabinets – Unfinished Oak Cabinets (387-246)
Cabinet Color – Schoolhouse Slate by Martha Stewart Living (MSL270)
Cabinet Handles – 3? Bar Pull 4-Pack Stainless (731-837)
Backsplash – Galaxy Delfino (355-243)
Backsplash Grout – Polyblend #382 Bone 10-lb. Non-Sanded Grout (123-851)
Under-Cabinet Lighting – Hampton Bay 6-Light Puck Light Kit (830-676)
Stove – Frigidaire 30-inch, 5.0-cubic feet with Self-Cleaning Convection Oven in Stainless
Steel (548-983)
Dishwasher – Frigidaire Gallery 24-inch, Front-Control in Stainless Steel (169-416)
Microwave – Frigidaire 30-inch, 1.7-cubic feet, Over-the-Range in Stainless Steel with
Sensor Cooking (533-524)
Refrigerator – Frigidaire 18-cubic feet, Top-Freezer in Stainless Steel (1000002771)
Granite – Bainbrook (Custom Granite Company)

Wow!!  That looks awesome!  I have been enjoying seeing your before's and afters and REALLY appreciate all the product SKUs.

Nice! I love that you brought the wood floors into the kitchen instead of having a big tile transition. Also love the painted cabinets. Keep the reveals coming!

Nice work @Andrew Cordle

I actually just saw a totally newly rehabbed house today here in NYC....and let me tell you, they DO NOT do/use some of the better stuff on the market.

Maybe it is a NYC thing!!!

Andrew, have you the cost info available?  What did you budget for this kitchen and what were the total actual costs for the materials listed/used?  Thanks, just trying to scale this in my mind.

I'm definitely no interior designer but was there a reason you went with blue cabinets?
Just bad lighting when the pic was taken?

That looks amazing!!!  But i have to know... what are the dollars on this project???
