Smooth Exterior Finish

In the past year of so, I've seen some local flippers start to finish homes with a very smooth exterior finish.  It appears to be very smooth stucco.  It almost has the appearance of an interior wall.  It's a very nice look.

Does anyone have experience with this ? Know if there's additional costs associated with something like this ?
