Getting house FHA approved

I have found a really awesome opportunity that I plan to make offer on in next few days. The home is a shell house. No appliances. It was built prior to 1978 so there is possibility of lead based paint. Currently FHA financing is not available on the place goes without saying. After I rehab it to make it livable what is the typical process of getting the place FHA approved? This would be my first time rehabbing a place, since so far I have mainly been using BRRR strategy to acquire properties, and di didn't really deal with rundown properties.

Thanks for all your help.

I just sold a home to an FHA buyer. At first it worried me, however I got through it without any real issues. There didn't seem to be any requests that I disagreed with. The FHA scare I have seen online, had me worried, but proved to be pain free!
