reglazing tiles?

the shower surround in the bathroom is those small (i'm thinkin 4 x 4) tiles...i was going to tear out and replace, but then i heard about reglazing tiles to a new color...i have never heard of this....anyone have any experience refinishing tiles?? thanks

The company I use is fairly thorough. They remove the shower arm, tub spout, and trim cover, and then go on to cut out bad caulking and fill or patch holes and cracks. Everything is prepped before the paint is applied. They don't regrout anything as grout takes awhile to dry and you can't apply the epoxy to wet surfaces.

Give it about 36 hours to dry and set up before putting the finish plumbing back in. I would also make sure you don't try to schedule any trades or doing any work yourself when they are working. That stuff is highly toxic and you don't want to be breathing the fumes.
