Contractors and out of state checks

I started a rehab project last week in Chattanooga TN and running into a small issue I am befuddled by. The house needed a new HVAC unit, guy came out and my project manager paid him with my LLC's check which is based in Portland Oregon. The guy took the check and was a little upset the check was from out of state. I also have a good hard working single contractor guy doing the work inside the house who will need to cash the check immediately. Well, there are no branches in Chattanooga where the check was issued. The only solution I can come up with right now is to open a business account with a bank in Chattanooga so everything is local. Not a fun process for myself, but willing to do it. I was wondering if there are any other ideas out there or if someone has a better solution. Thanks in advance for the advice!!
