Probate property questions.

Hello bp family I need some advice. A family told me about a property she has currently in probate and im interested in this property but not totally sure where to start... the executor of the estate is a lawyer and there are 3 potential heirs to the property. Do I contact the lawyer handling the probate case or deal with the family members first???
