Can someone give me an idea as to what would it take to make the kitchen window larger.
Below is the image of what it currently looks like.

Thank you!

What kind of siding?

Its a little more complicated than Ryan B. Explained. Your may have to put in a new header. Depending on if its a load bearing wall, you may need new one.Which will involve removing the exterior or interior finish. If its t1-11 then it will be very easy, lap would be much harder.
In my location you would need to pull a permit for it, but I wouldn't waist the time and money on it.
As far as a window guy goes, I would just higher a contractor. Its a easy job, but I wouldn't trust a guy who just replaces windows to do it.
